- [Instructor] When you start using render elements to enhance your images, you'll often want something that reflects the lighting in the scene. So there are a couple of different channels that you can look at. Now, for this particular image we have V-Ray global illumination, and that's one render element. And that basically just renders the global illumination of the scene. Which is essentially the bounce lighting. We also have a lighting pass, which renders the lights plus the shadows. Then we have what are called the raw passes. And these are the same as before, but without material. So this is raw global illumination. So this is essentially the bounce or the ambient lighting in the scene. And then we have a raw lighting pass, which is that same thing with shadows. Now, which one you select really depends on how you prefer to do your composites. Personally, I'm going to use this channel, which is V-Ray raw…
