Creating detailed features

- We often say that complexity is free with a 3D printer. For example, a complicated print takes just about as long to print as a cube using the same amount of plastic. However, 3D printers are limited in how fine and delicate a feature they can print. Resolution of a 3D printer is a far more subtle subject than the dots per inch measure for paper printers. It's very different fulfillment resonant powder-based printers. In this movie, we'll focus on the fundamental limitations fulfillment based 3D printers. In the vertical direction, the layer height will be the limiting factor. Very thin horizontal features may fall between layers and disappear, or they may print thicker than intended if they do fall on a layer line. If for example, we change initial layer height, some of these features appear or disappear because their alignment to the layers is changed.
