- Here is another cool little thing I like that Revit does now. We can actually make an exploded view of an item. For example: if I have a staircase. I can make exploded views of my stringers, of my treads, of my risers. Whatever I want. So let's do it. Let's jump into Revit. Under models, let's go new. For my template file, I'm going to grab architectural template. And I'm going to click ok. On the architecture tab click you stair button. Level one to level two, that works for me. I'm going to pick a point here. I'm going to draw kind of a weird little staircase. Five here, a couple here. And come back, four here. I don't know. And back. That's kind of neat. Maybe set my railing. Handrail pipe, like that. Hit ok. Click finish. That's fine, whatever. Go to a 3D view. Got some squiggly little staircase here. Not bad. I don't like the stringer though, so let's go to insert. Let's load a…
