Creating grading transitions

- [Instructor] So far all the grading we've done has been the entire length of our reference, our feature line, and has been a consistent grade or a slope from that feature line. It's a beautiful exercise but in reality that just doesn't happen all the time. For example, we may need to change our drainage from our parking lot to having a shoulder that drains into the parking lot to maybe having a shoulder that drains away from the parking lot, and toward our daylight. And so we need to have the ability to transition our grading along that feature line. And let's see how we do that in simple 3D. We're going to open up our exercise file 1305 grading transitions, we're back to the pond that we began with and started with, however you notice the berm is missing along with the daylight on the outer edge of the berm.
