Creating load cases

- [Instructor] With the out of the box, Revit structural template we get nine predefined load cases. They're pretty typical. It's our load cases that we assign when we place loads in boundary conditions. In this video, I'd like to make a new load case and assign a load nature to it. Open up the model you've been working in, go to the Analyze tab, under Analytical Models we have Load Cases, we have Load Combinations. Go ahead and click Load Cases. It's going to jump into our Structural Settings. We just looked at this dialogue before but now we're lookin' at our Load Cases. Notice that we have name, case number, nature, category. Okay, can change each of these. So, what I want to do is quickly make a load nature. Then, we'll assign it to our load case. So, under Load Natures click Add. For new nature, I'll just call it Mechanical Equipment. (typing) Now, keep in mind, I'm just making these up. If you have an actual load…
