Creating a material takeoff

- [Instructor] Now, with scheduling behind us, we can delve into the world of Material Takeoffs. In this video, I'd like to create obviously, a Material Takeoff. It's really pretty similar to a schedule, just as more calculations we can perform. So, let's jump into Revit. Under Models, I'll go Open, or else you're keeping your exercise files. I'm going to grab Structural 56 and I'm going to click Open. Okay. It doesn't really matter what view we're in, let's go to the View Tab, let's click the Schedule's pull down, let's go to Material Takeoff. Okay. Now, we're doing a Material Takeoff, so I almost don't really care what the object is the Materials in, I just want a quantification of all of that exact Material in the entire project. So, I'm going to use a Multi-category Material Takeoff. What I'm going to do though, for the name, so I'm just going to call it CAST IN PLACE, all caps, C-A-S-T, IN PLACE. I just want to…
