- [Instructor] Here's a cool little thing I'd like to cover this week. I'd like to create a mass that is completely parametric. This video will have us create a new family using the conceptual mass template. Then we'll load in a new project and check it out. Let's jump into Revit. Under Families, notice that it has New Conceptual Mass. Go ahead and click that. Select Massrft. Click Open. The default view is usually the 3D view, but what I'd like to do is go to level one floor plan. It looks like a regular family. Right-click on this reference plane and Create Similar. On the Draw panel, click Pick Lines. For the offset, let's go 50 feet. And offset it to the left and to the right. Now, click Aligned Dimension. Go from here to here to here. Pick off of it. Click on EQ. Dimension from here to here, click off of that. Let's right-click on this horizontal reference plane and Create Similar. Let's click Pick Lines. For the offset, let's go 25 feet.
