Creating an in-place structural family using massing

- [Instructor] In this video, I'd like to demonstrate how to create an in-place structural family using an existing massing shape. Under Projects, let's go Open. I'm going to browse where I'm keeping my exercise files and I'm going to grab this Massing model. It's the same one we made last week. Let's go to Open. Now, what we can do is say, for example, we wanted to have structural columns that were kind of going along this path you do that by creating a massing object first and then you can use these lines as a guide. So, on the Architecture tab, let's click the Component drop-down and let's select Model in-Place. Scroll down to Structural Columns and click OK. I want to call them Fluted Columns. Then, we'll click OK. What I'd like to do now is click on the Sweep button. Click on Pick Path. Now, I'm going to grab click this arced line. That's hard geometry to come up with if you're just using traditional drafting. So, select that. Now, click Finish Edit Mode. Now, let's click Edit…
