Creating a pour-stop detail component

- [Instructor] Sometimes we need to use a metal pour stop to screed the edges of our concrete slabs. This video will have us doing just that. We're going to just model a simple profile with a couple parameters and sweep away. In Revit, under Families, let's go New. Let's go to English Imperial. Let's go to Profile, Hosted. Click Open. Okay, let's right-click this reference plane and Create Similar. On the Draw panel, let's click on the Pick lines button. For the offset let's go six inches. Offset it to the right and then offset it down. Whereas the insert point right here is going to be the top outside corner of our slab. On the Measure panel click the Aligned dimension button. Pick a point from here to here, and off of it over to here. Do the same here. Remember we're going from strong to weak reference. Hit Escape a couple of times. Select this six-inch dimension. Click Create parameter. Call it Depth. Hit OK.…
