- [Instructor] Let's talk about shared parameters. The good thing is Revit has a ton of parameters we can use as a default. The bad thing is, those parameters aren't nearly enough. What needs to happen in most cases is we need to make some homemade parameters for say our Titleblock information. This issue is, if we make a parameter in our Titleblock that parameter doesn't exist in our actual model. We need a text file to read between the two models to get the GUID to work. Let's just do it. Under Families, I'd like to go New. Let's go to Titleblocks. I'll make a C sized Titleblock. I'm going to click Open. Okay. Now we know that we can add a few labels. Let's do that. I'm going to click Label. Pick a spot here. Let's just grab the typical stuff we normally have. Let's go with Project Name. Hit OK. Escape a couple of times. Select Project Name. Click Copy.
