Creating slab depressions

- [Instructor] Let's talk about slab depressions. Now, I'm not saying that slabs are sad or anything but sometimes we need to take a block of concrete out of our slabs for items such as floor mats and maybe framing that's notched into a wall or something. The objective of this video is to create an in-place family which will actually be a void. Then we'll cut the void into the slab and into the thickened slab edge. To get started, let's jump into Revit and let's go to Structural-28. Let's go down to level one. Let's zoom into this area over here. Go to the Structure tab. Click the component dropdown. Let's find Model In-Place. Let's choose Floors and click Okay. For the name, we'll call it Depression-1. Then we click Okay. Now, we want to create a void extrusion. So go to Void Forms, Void Extrusion. For the extrusion end, I want it to go 102 millimeters. So minus 102, Enter. For my offset up here, I'm going to go…
