Customize a project template

- [Instructor] We're going to save a template in this video. Whenever I start a new project, I like to save a new template so that I can stay consistent as I work through the project. Templates work like this. You create a template, specify it in SketchUp. And then every time you create a new model, it will use that template as the basis of that new file. So when we launch SketchUp, it came in with this human figure and this style which includes a ground plane because it was using the default template. And that default template specified these things. Let's customize this by erasing the human figure. And then, let's go and change the style next. Go to the window menu and choose styles on the Mac. Or, open styles in the default tray in the windows operating system. Make sure that the drop down says in model rather than one of these choices from the mini libraries of styles that ship with SketchUp. There's only one style in the model. Let's edit that.
