- Okay, so you're ready to deliver your storyboards to your client? This could be delivery of partially finished boards, boards for approval or boards for distribution to the entire crew. First ask production how they would like the storyboards delivered. Mostly are going to want PDF files which is easy to print and if you create an animatic they'll want to see a movie file as well. Some commercial clients will also ask that you give them individual JPEGs so that they can import them into their own pitch formats. So the animation storyboards, as you can see here they're usually created landscape and there are three or four across with the text in dialogue below as you see. For live action those are usually created in portrait mode stacked three high. Text and dialogue are then off on the right, as you can see over here.
