- You'll notice that we're in the 00-GND-1031 SE Madison.dwg file. And you may recognize it from previous chapters that we've done in the course as well. Just make sure that you download this particular .dwg file to follow along with the particular chapter. Now, we're going to go over to the measure tool again, and this time we're going to use the distance measuring tool, which is this one here, distance. So, you click on the Measure there on the drop down, and select Distance, and come in to the drawing area. Now this time, it's prompting you to specify the first point. Now, the trick here is to be accurate. So, you need your objects Snaps on in the status bar. So if I pop down here, there's my object Snaps, they're highlighted blue indicating that they're switched on. And then all you do is utilizing your object Snaps, you measure a distance.
