- [Instructor] Okay, let's talk BIM. You had to know that with the advent of BIM, we would see the advent of additional standards. I had no idea how many standards would come along with BIM. Well, why? Because building information modeling opens up a different type of litigation. It used to be that what is on a Stanton signed piece of paper was it. Now with the requirement of a perfectly modeled representation of those drawings, huh, rules need to be set in place. I want to drill right in and look at the BIM level of detail. So let's look at the breakdown. This needs to be agreed on at the onset of each project. Nothing like being confused on how much you're supposed to model. You can't model everything but if you file this matrix, sometimes you can. Generally, all the projects I've been on since BIM started was around Level of Detail 300 and you see that's kind of in the middle. Let's take a look at the breakdown.
