- [Narrator] In this video, we'll take a tour of SketchUp's user interface to get you more familiar with the program. When you first launch SketchUp, it creates an untitled file based on the default template. That template includes a human figure to give you a sense of scale. It's style also has a sky ground transition to keep you oriented in space. You'll also see the colorful axes color-coded red, green, and blue to correspond with the X, Y, and Z axes of Cartesian space respectively. You can navigate in SketchUp by rolling the mouse wheel to zoom in. Roll it back to zoom out. Drag the mouse wheel to orbit in space and hold down the Shift key and drag the mouse wheel to pan. These tools up here on the main toolbar orbit, pan, and zoom allow you to accomplish the things that you can already do with the mouse wheel and you would really only use those if you didn't have a mouse with a wheel. You can toggle off the axes here on the View menu, but I don't recommend that you do that…
