Faster resin printing

- [Instructor] 3D printers, like many other flexible manufacturing methods, can take a while to create a print. Resin printers are very good at creating highly detailed prints. A typical resin 3D print progresses slowly. Each layer is either illuminated all at once or drawn out by a laser on the bottom of a tray of liquid resin. This illumination hardens the resin. Then this hardened layer is peeled off from the base of the tray and the next layer begins. The peeling step is typically what takes most of the time in each layer. Of course, manufacturers are working hard to make printing with resin faster while not compromising quality or functionality. Because the print time more or less goes with the number of layers, the most straightforward way to print faster is to have thicker layers.
