Now, in terms of technical jargon, you may hear bounced light in a render engine context being referred to in a number of ways, such as global illumination in direct lighting, which sometimes has the word diffuse inserted into it. And, from those who may have been working with CG lighting for quite some time, you may also hear the term radiosity thrown around, although that technically is a word that refers to the type of algorithm being used, as opposed to a general term that should be used to describe bounced light.
