Global parameters

Global parameters

- [Instructor] I'd like to do something cool this week, called global parameters. See, what we can do, for example, I used to work for an architecture and metalworking firm, and I'd have a bunch of different counters, cabinets, that all referred back to a plastic laminate chart. PL-1, PL-2, PL-3... Each of those plastic laminate charts had, like, Wilsonart plastic laminate, red. What we can do is we can globally control those parameters, so if those plastic laminate colors ever need to be updated, we can do it in one spot. So, for example, let's go down to level one, and let's double-click on on our self elevation right here. I want to establish a typical counter height. So, on the architecture tab, click on the ref plane button. On the drop panel, click the pick lines button. And let's offset it two foot six. We're going to offset a line straight up, two foot six. Now, I'm going to throw a dimension at it by going to my quick access toolbar and clicking my align dimension button…
