How to charge for storyboards

- So, you got an offer to draw storyboards but how do you charge for them? Well, there are four main ways to charge. Weekly, daily, per panel and flat rates. So let's go over them. Firstly, there's weekly. Now understand that weekly means it's based on a five day workweek not just endless through seven days. So you'll come up with a rate, whether it's 2000, 1500, 3000 whatever it is, that's your weekly rate. If you end up working only four days then you break the weekly rate into five and then times that by four. So let's say that if you're charging 3000 a week that equals 600 a day a four day week would end up then being $2,400. That's how we would charge. Then you do daily. When you're charging daily, it's based on 10 hours. Some people charge based on nine. There is no such thing as an eight hour day in production.
