- [Instructor] Building on the last exercise, let's apply a high dynamic range image to the Skydome for an image-based lighting solution and a render-able backdrop. Select the Skydome and open up its attributes with Control + A. We're going to apply an image to the color attribute but we need to make sure that color temperature is disabled. If that's on, then it will override whatever we do in the color attribute. So turn color temperature off. Now, let's create a file node. Click on the Create Render Node button in the color attribute. In the Create Render Node dialog, click File. That render node is created, let's give it a new name. We'll call it "env". And then, browse for the image on disk. Click the Browse button. We're taken to our current project's source images folder. In here, you'll see a bunch of familiar file formats, such as PNG and HDR. You'll also see some Arnold native files with the extension…
