Import CAD data as STL
- [Instructor] At times, we want to compare the STL data to the original CAD data, if it's available. We can inspect to the original CAD data as well. And oftentimes, when you go into the quality department, or the inspection department, they're going to take the CAD data that was originally created and overlay the captured STL on top of it. And in some instances, this is going to create a report, or you're going to send this out for qualification purposes. And there's various other tools meant specifically for inspection. Now, in this file, I'm going to go ahead and prep it, and get it ready for the importation of the original CAD data. So I'll go through, pick all the stuff that I want to hide, out of the tree, right mouse click, and hide it. I'm going to activate the entire STL. Select OK. And I want to import in my STEP file. And the way I'm going to do that here is just File, Open. Select my STEP file. This is just a report indicating that it's been translated in. I'm going to…
