- [Instructor] Using the Autodesk desktop app can be a pretty awesome way to make sure your software is patched and you aren't missing any crucial updates like I always do. Let's take a look at where to find it. So open your favorite browser. Go to autodesk.com/desktop-app. You'll come up to this screen right here. Click Install Now. Make sure you agree. Click Install Now. Now, what's going to happen, it's going to download the EXE file. I'm using Chrome, so I have to click on Keep. You can either install it directly from here, but if you show it in Folder there's a good chance that you need admin rights to install this. But if you right-click on the Autodesk desktop app and click Run as Administrator you have a better chance of being able to install it. It's now installed.
