- [Instructor] As you can see here in our sample set of drawings, sometimes landscaping plans are called planting plans and depending on how large and complex the landscaping is there might also be an entirely separate set of plans for planting and irrigation. The landscape plans could be included in the civil construction drawings like they are here, or they could be drawn by a landscape architect and show up as a standalone set. The purpose of the landscape drawings is simply to show us what the new landscaping requirements are, where plants and trees go, and to give us details and notes relating to the planting and irrigation. Now the types of landscaping and irrigation construction that could be shown on a set of drawings is as diverse as the imaginations of the people designing the project.
