- When we pick construction technology processes and tools for the project, we first evaluate what the project really needs, and then associate with the tools available in the industry and then find out a tool which matches the project needs. So we strategically pick the construction technology tools and practices to implement it on a project based on the needs of the project. So laser scanning is one of the tools which, traditionally, being used in the construction industry for capturing as-it-is conditions, which we call it exact builds. But on this project, we use laser scanning to manage quality control on the project, which helps the project to improve the quality, to reduce the rework, and improve the productivity in the field. - So the laser scanning that we've used out here, like we've said, it's to double-check and QC for overall deck penetrations, that's primarily what we're using it for.
