- [Tutor] Ever noticed that you can rotate a hatch pattern in Revit? Well you can. Have you ever noticed that when you rotate the hatch pattern it rotates the material as well? It does but you have to make it do that. Let me show you. In Revit under models let's go new. We use an architectural template, we'll click OK. Let's model the floor and click on floor. Generic 12" works. I want to draw a rectangle. Now for Edit Type. Let's just rename it to "Wood Floor". Hit OK. For the structure, click Edit. Structure one, we'll make that concrete. Cast in place, gray works. We'll make it five inches. Click on number one for core boundary under function. Click insert, let's make this a Finish. For material, let's create a new material. Let's right click on Default New Material. Let's rename it "wood plank". For graphics, for the surface pattern foreground, let's click on pattern. Let's go to Model Pattern and we'll…
