- [Narrator] You've probably heard about using BIM for facility management. Well, COBie formatting is what we use for that. Essentially what this is is a set of parameters that are associated with Revit asset information to specific facility maintenance programs, such as Maximo. Accompanying this is a set of Excel files used in the translation from Revit into your facility management. For examples, you can got to nbims.org or I'm going to swing around and I'm going to show another one, Whole Building Design Guide. So, this comes in and this tells us exactly what COBie is. But what's nice about these sites, and what I'm providing you, are some files that work with Revit via shared parameters. So, as we come down through, we can get a list of Maintenance Management Systems, CMMS, that can be used with COBie.
