- [Instructor] For this section of the course I wanted to take a moment and point out the difference between a component and a material and how they schedule. And that's going to be important for this next few videos that we do that you understand the difference. I'm going to click on a door real quick and I'm going to place one in just so we have something to take a look at and a starting point. And one thing I want to point out about this door is the door is a component in itself. The only think is is this door has materials that are assigned to it. So, not only can I schedule the door itself so that you can do different things with the door but I can also schedule the material on the door. Not only that, I took this door and I placed this door into the wall and the wall has some of the same characteristics. I'm going to click on this wall here.
