In this group of movies, we review dental applications and medical applications more broadly. - [Male Instructor] Many medical and dental applications are one-off custom manufacturing rather than being short-run production. For that reason, certain medical and dental applications have been successful early adopters of additive manufacturing. If you're thinking about which of your products might lend themselves to additive, these early successes might give you some inspiration. For example, many hearing aids are now 3D-printed. In some cases, these are made based on a scan by a specialized in-ear 3D scanner, and in others from an in-ear impression that is then 3D scanned.
