Mig welding explained
(hard rock music) - Hey guys, we're here at Carly's Suspension and I want to talk a little bit about MIG welding and what the process involves. So standing behind me, or actually behind me, here, are some of the tools, equipment, and protective devices you're going to use for MIG welding. You're normally going to have some heavy gloves here. You're going to have some basic things like wire cutters, needle nose pliers, different things here, some protective devices. You got to have your welding helmet to protect your eyes. You might even want to have some type of respirator type device. Up here you've got a fume hood that's going to suck any of those fumes coming out of the machine. You're also probably going to use some small tools like this like grinders, air tools, and then you're pretty much ready to weld. And you can see here this is a beautifully welded part. And that's done with this machine right over here. So you've got, this is a Miller WIG welder. You got some gas that is…
