Modeing an in-place truss

- [Instructor] Sometimes we don't really need a lot of flexibility, we just need to model something exactly how it's going to be. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. By creating a grid line, we model a truss in place. Then we'll create a 3D view focusing on our new creation. First start by creating a new project under models. Let's go new, for our template file, we'll go with Imperial structural template. We'll click okay. We'll stay in level two, that's fine. Go to the structure Tab and the Datum panel. Let's click on grid. Let's model a grid and, happens to be grid line one. Let's go to the View Tab. Let's go to elevation. Let's go to framing elevation. Now let's grab grid line one. Just click a couple of times. Lets double click on our elevation 1A, here we go. Now let's go to the Structure Tab. Let's go to component. Let's go to model in place.
