- [Instructor] Having already seen how we can use the various ID options available in V-Ray next for SketchUp to create some semi-automated and automated ID mats, what we want to take a look at next are the two Multimatte options that are also available tools these being the Multimatte Materials, and Multimatte Objects Render Elements. Now, in many ways, working with these is just a continuation of the ID work that we have already done in these elements also make use of ID settings for matte creation. So the Multimatte Materials Element, for instance creates masks in a render based on a Material's ID number with the Material ID color being completely ignored in this instance. Unlike the Material ID pass though, this render element uses only three colors in the matte, these being red, green and blue, with the element analyzing the scene at render time and then automatically creating the total number of MultiMatte…
