- [Instructor] The arrangement of feeders, which are large electrical circuits, panelboards, switchboards, and associated equipment for an electrical system, are sometimes best viewed on a diagram known as a one-line diagram, although most power feeders are comprised of multiple wires. This type of drawing shows the connection relationship of these components based on electricity flow, and so only one line is used to simplify the drawing. Let's take a look at a typical building distribution one-line diagram on a blueprint. This is a pretty basic one-line diagram for a building. I'm going to scroll in a little bit here. Look over here, you'll see basically what they call utility, or the main feed, coming into the building. There's a pad-mounted utility transformer that's actually still outside of the building, but again remember, this is not a plan view, where we're showing the component's relationship to the building.…
