- [Instructor] One of the required skills of BIM management is people skills. Now, often times people that go into BIM management roles happen to have excellent software or hardware capabilities. But they don't always have the best either management or people skills. But people skills are vital for that position. The first thing that you need to do related to people skills is learn how to listen. Don't be afraid to ask questions, listen to what people are telling you. As things are going along, you need to figure out where the problem areas are, where the things that are going good are in that process, and you need to find out what organizational objectives these individuals have. Once you understand the full complexity of what that individual is trying to accomplish as well as what the project goals are, the next thing that you can do is identify the problems, and then start to find solutions to each one of those problems.
