CNC plasma cutting

(upbeat rock music) - Today we're here at Industrial Metal Supply. I'm here with Rick Burthart who is the manager of metal surfaces. Now we're standing in front of a huge plasma table. Now this machine can do all types of metal processing. Rick, can you tell us a little bit about the machine and some of the capacity it can do? - Sure, this table here is a 10 foot by 20 foot water-filled plasma table, it is a 400-amp Hypertherm power unit. On this table here we can cut up to three-inch thick material. We do shy away at about two and a half inches. Excuse me, sorry about that. About 2 and a half inch thick, because of the control of the taper that the material gives. - You're gettin' some dross if you get a litter thicker, right? - Yes, any plasma cutting process will contain some sort of a tapered dross.
