- [Instructor] As you might have discovered by now it can get very confusing to keep track of what groups of settings go with which type of print. It can get even worse when you throw in different materials. Maybe you even have several different printers. Let's talk about ways to bring a little order to this chaos. Different hosts and slicer programs have different user interfaces. Some of them have the ability to manage many sets of settings, where for others it can be very challenging to keep track. We'll talk here about a couple of the most popular open source programs, Ultimaker Cura, and PrusaSlicer. Many proprietary systems are based on one or the other of these, and they may have slightly different capabilities. In Ultimaker Cura you can save off a particular group of settings for almost everything aside from printer geometry. These saved groups of settings are called profiles.
