Project kick-off meetings

Project kick-off meetings
- [Instructor] I strongly believe that, before any project, you should have a project kickoff meeting for the team involved with BIM. This meeting should not only have technical people but should also include the project managers for the project so that they can help with explaining their required deliverables and they can hear and address any project concerns from the team from the very start of the project. In this meeting, you can cover everything related to this project, from the simple, such as file locations, to addressing the most difficult parts of the design, to assigning roles and communicating tasks that need to be done or have already been done thus far in the project. Ultimately, the project kickoff meeting provides everyone with the same baseline information so that they start the project with an understanding of expectations, standard information and procedures, and the reason we are implementing them on this specific project.
