- Medical facilities have many scales and can vary tremendously in complexity and scope. Our firm has worked on several healthcare projects. The following two are special because both help children in the foster care system and with special needs. Foster Care Clinic. Our long relationship with the Martin Luther King Medical Center in Los Angeles enabled us to work on its campus and several facilities. We provided everything from signage design, pedestrian and traffic studies, planning, building and interior design and furniture procurement. When we were designing the foster care clinic, we knew we wanted to introduce as much natural light and access to our doors as possible. The center deals with a lot of at-risk youth and disadvantaged groups in general. So we wanted the space to feel light and uplifting, clean but not sterile and playful while also calming.
