- [Instructor] Sometimes the information that you get … from these material takeoffs can be nothing … but a big garbled piece of information. … If that comes out this way, there are ways … that you can control what information you see … and ways that you can combine the information … so that you can get the most out of your project. … One of those could be, if you could go back … into your floor plan and say, for instance, … you're putting a different type of material onto a floor. … Instead of having to build the floor all over again, … go and use the paint tool for what it's there for. … We're going to use carpet here and paint on top of that floor. … So you don't have to sit here … and do the material all over again … and now if I just painted this floor with a red carpet … and now if you notice if you get and you look, … actually I think it was already carpet before … then we go back and do another one. … Let's say I decided I'm going to go the wood route, … the wood floor route, I can do this quickly …
