- [Instructor] After creating your cover letter, you should then go in and create your resume. Now your resume should have a variety of information on it, including your name and contact information, because well, you want them to get in contact with you. The purpose of the resume. Now, not a lot of people actually will put the purpose of their resume on their resume itself, but I'm a fairly big believer in it because it's very possible that your cover letter, which talks about the purpose, might get separated from the resume. If those two things get separated, you still wanna have that blurb that says, "I'm interested in this position," and word it in such a way that it gives just a little bit of personal feel to it there on that resume or CV. You wanna place your career highlights on your resume. Now, those career highlights is really your work experience. But it doesn't always have to be work experience, it could be volunteer experience.
