Reverse engineering suspension components
(upbeat music) - We're here at Carlie's Suspension and I'm with Sage and Brandon and were talking about reverse engineering. Now these guys have designed and built a whole bunch of different parts for this Jeep behind us, and they're going to tell us a little bit more about it. Sage, just give us a little background on how do you guys go about reverse engineering these parts for the Jeeps you guys build and all the different components that go into it. - Depends on what platform we're working on. We're SEMA members, a SEMA Manufacturing member can pay to have access to OEM files. - [Gabriel] Okay. - On our Ford platforms and some of our Dodge platforms, we can get those files. Which is really nice, because we can plug an actual 3D step file right into SOLIDWORKS and now we got the chassis we need or whatever it is that we're working on. - [Gabriel] Yeah, then you can start working right out of that, right? - [Sage] Yeah, then we can actually start adding our parts to it, we can cycle…
