- [Instructor] So let's talk about QA/QC, quality assurance and quality control. This can be a pivot point if standards are to actually be taken seriously. Without a doubt, the design needs a peer review. How about the standards, this doesn't? Every professional signs something. If you're truly serious about this, this could be the step that forces the standards hand. Also it serves as a discussion point to correct mistakes if they're signed off on but are wrong. The person signing might think it's right. Aha, a learning moment. Here's a couple points I'd like to make regarding this topic. Sign-off is certainly needed for design, like I said. Isn't it needed for standards? Most people won't do this for some reason other than you, not on standards. It's probably going to have to be you. That brings us to accountability.
