- [Instructor] In the last video, I discussed the importance of tracking near-miss incidents in order to improve safety in the construction industry. I introduced the term leading indicators, and used that to describe this near-miss data. Most of the last segment really focused on the use of this leading indicator data, to help prevent safety incidents, like injuries, from occurring. I've also stated that safety, quality, and productivity are inextricably linked, and that when one of those elements is neglected, the others will suffer. I want to take the opportunity to explain that position. First of all, there are studies that back my position.
