- [Instructor] The purpose of the sample rate render element is to very quickly tell us how much work is having to be done by V-Ray's image sampling engine on the various parts of the scene that are in the camera's view, which it does by essentially assigning a color value to each of the rendered pixels. The color being chosen according to how many primary samples are being used by the image samples in order to render that particular pixel. A scene is usually a big aid to understanding. Let's open up the Asset Editor and then add a sample rate render element to our list. Again, we have just a denoise option available to us and which for this particular element isn't typically something that we will need to worry about.
