Scaffolds

- Scaffolding is used as a walking and working surface in many different applications. They're common on construction sites, they're used often in maintenance activities and they can be found being used in everything from event set up to warehousing and even retail. The design setup and dismantling of scaffolding systems requires special training. You also need specific training to use the scaffolding. There are many different types of scaffolding and many different applications, so this training should be specific to your uses. The scaffolding should be inspected by a competent person before every use. This is a person who's trained to identify safe scaffolding and any hazards that might be present, and that has the authority to prohibit people from using the scaffolding if it's not safe. They'll often put a tag on the scaffold that's green if it's safe to use, and red if it's not. You might hear people referring to this…
