- [Voiceover] When 3D modeling complex forms, you'll often want to select the specific piece of geometry for modification while leaving the rest of your design untouched. This can get pretty hairy once you get a complex design, but for now I'll demonstrate using some simple geometry. So first thing's first, I'm going to select this object and delete it. And then I'll be using the wire frame and solids tabs in order to give us some material to play with. So let's say we can make some points. For example. And I'll just click these in no particular spot. I can also click on the circle icon to make myself some two dimensional forms. I'll also click on the solids tab, and if I select cylinder, for example, I'll need to click on the center point of the base, pick an initial geometry, and then in order to make the height I'll right-click the mouse while I'm in the middle of the command. Switch to the isometric view. Use the scroll wheel to back out. And then left-click once I've got a height…
