Setting paint options
- [Instructor] Let's go a little bit deeper into the Paint option so that we can control, for example, the direction of deformation and maybe cap the amount of deformation. I'll go to the push pull tool and do a real simple, quick sculpt here, nothing fancy. Then in order to illustrate what the issue can be, I'm going to actually exit out of the brush and then go back into the brush and then sculpt again. And as soon as I do that, I see a major problem where the model actually crashes into itself. That's happening because the default direction for deformations is the so-called original surface. That's basically the shape of the surface the last time you activated that particular brush. Because of that, these surfaces, for example, that are facing towards one another, when I sculpt, they're actually going to shift in kind of weird directions. All right, so let's cancel that out.
