- [Instructor] This week I'd like to set up file sharing. It's pretty easy but it's definitely crucial on any project. One of the coolest things about Revit is the ability to allow multiple users access to the same model. What happens is Revit will have a central model that resides on your server. When each user goes to open the model Revit will make a copy and put it on your local machine. This copy is linked to the central model, it's called the local model. When you synchronize with this central model your changes are saved and you can also see changes that others in the model have done. So let's do it. Let's jump into Revit, under Projects I'd like to start with an Architectural Template. The first thing we need to do is save this as something. So let's click our save button.
