Sheet laser cutting

(upbeat music) - I'm standing in front of a flat laser cutting machine and we're standing here in Industrial Metal Supply. I'm here with Rick and he's going to tell us a little bit about this machine. Now, right over here you can see this material is what, is a scrap for all the material that's coming off the laser, and here's an example of a part that was cut on a laser. Rick, can you tell us a little bit about the machines we're standing in front of and some of the capacity that's available here? - Sure, so right here, this equipment is a Mitsubishi. It's a 3500-watt laser. It's a flatbed laser, so it's a single access. There is no tilt-cuts on it. - Now you guys also have rotational laser cut, - Yes, we do. - Which does tubes and stuff, right? So this is only doing flat-sheet? - Yes, the rotational laser has a six access and this is just flat-sheet. So it's a little bit different. But this machine does have the capacity to cut up to half-inch thick carbon steel and can also cut up…
