Show hidden lines through an object

- [Instructor] In Revit, sometimes we want to show hidden lines, meaning we want to force Revit to show the hidden line line type behind another item. In our typical default view, if it shows up as hidden line, it usually masks it out completely. Let's see how we can do this. I'm going to start a new Architectural Template. I'm going to draw a wall right here. And I'm going to draw a wall behind it like this. And maybe I'll pull this wall back in, kind of like that. Let's go now to our South elevation. And I want to see this line to the right as hidden. So let's go to View, let's go to Show Hidden Lines by Element. Now, notice down in the lower left hand corner of your project browser, it says First pick: Select Element to show hidden line through. So that would be this wall here, in the foreground. Now, let's pick this wall here in the background, and hit Escape a few times. Now, if we select this wall, it's going to behave like it normally would. So we don't have to model detail…
